It sure had enough to bind my attention for the past day.
Another of those old Chaoscope attribute files I salvaged as detailed on Frost Arrow. The initial render however wasn't particularly interesting so I explored a bit and found several more peculiar areas. One of these produced these rings with a spiral section that I couldn't help find aesthetically pleasing. This isn't the best one in my appreciation as I hadn't the wherewithal to realize I could obviate some of the rendering engine's limitations with Photoshop and fiddled until I lost sight of the one. But still this is a nice one: selected colors on the main render so it resembled metal and then rendered again a "rainbow gas" to simulate a tarnish. Then it was a question of compositing on Photoshop for good effect.
Edit: Don't mind me but I found the image to be just a smidge washed out.
Found and rendered through Chaoscope. Post-processed in Photoshop CS3. Cropping and *.jpeg compression on Paint Shop Pro 9.
